    Lane Vallier is the Marketing Manager of MurCal Inc., a California-based distributor of emission control and engine monitoring systems with 53 years of industry experience. Responsible for the company's advertising and trade show efforts, Lane discovered in 2006 while shopping for promotional products online.

    Lane's favorite Branders item, the Bic Clic Stic pen, first came as a surprise, since he was expecting to receive a "throw-away" pen to hand out at trade shows. "What we got instead was a great pen. The three-color logo is precise with very high-quality printing. Also, the pen is actually the go-to pen on my desk, in my car and at home—it always works!"

    It was for another order of these pens that Lane saw stellar customer service from his Branders sales rep. "Several years ago, after I'd ordered 500 of these pens, my Branders rep called me one morning to tell me that a huge flood had closed the factory that was producing my order," Lane recalls.

    "Within a day, Branders had sourced my order to another factory. I was impressed that my sales rep kept me in the loop, told me exactly what was happening with my order, gave me a real-world explanation and followed up to make sure the product I received met my expectations."
