Martha Rose's lifelong mission is to build green buildings. She traces her interest in sustainable building practices all the way back to the 1970s, and is proud to be known today as a national leader in the Green Building movement. In recent years, the Martha Rose Construction Company's work on Zero-Energy spec homes has led to exciting opportunities, such as a partnership with the Department of Energy and the Building America program.
In recent years, marketing and developing their brand has been a priority for MRC. Promotional products have played a big role. With each project that MRC tackles, the company gives awayglass mugs from Branders. Martha browsed many websites in her search for the "perfect glass" before discovering that "Branders had the exact mug I was looking for."
Branders' 10oz Haworth glass drinking mugs are "such a perfect fit for the values we try to convey," she explains. "We like that they are made from simple materials, and manufactured in our region of the country." Since that initial order in 2009, MRC has continued to purchase Haworth mugs from Branders.
MRC first ordered the Haworth mugs in 2009 was at a "Green Drinks" event. "Attendees are supposed to bring their own reusable cup. For those who have never been to a Green Drink event, this may be a novel concept, so we decided to offer a promotional mug to those who needed one," Martha says. Her company handed out reusable mugs for people to keep. At subsequent events, including the Behind the Walls Tours, National Solar Tour Day and Earth Day Celebration, MRC replicated the successful giveaway.
Today, as Martha continues to drive the building industry toward zero-energy-use homes, she is glad to have Branders as her reliable promotional products partner. She says, "What I love most about Branders is that I can buy durable, practical items made in the USA at a price my company can handle."
