Fighting kidney disease is a serious mission for Trina Frazier and the American Kidney Fund.
The American Kidney Fund was founded forty years ago to save the life of one person who needed help to pay for dialysis. Today, the Maryland- based nonprofit organization has become a significant source of financial aid to those living with chronic kidney disease, helping more than 101,000 patients in all 50 states in 2010.
As the organization's Director of Outreach Programs, Trina Frazier develops health programs that educate people about preventing kidney disease. She relies on Branders promotional items to help her spread the word.

Promotional items open doors. "Promotional products are a wonderful way to engage new customers in an unobtrusive manner," Trina explains. Because chronic kidney disease is a serious subject, Trina looks for no-nonsense giveaways that will reinforce the message of healthy living. Branders' first-aid kits and hand sanitizers are practical gifts that also make a meaningful point.
Giveaways have helped the organization find more donors. The American Kidney Fund regularly sponsors fundraisers, health fairs, "lunch and learn" sessions, and other forms of outreach. Volunteers and other participants receive giveaways bearing the organization's logo as a thank-you. When they use these items, they help raise awareness of the American Kidney Fund's important work.
Low-priced giveaways help raise awareness without hurting the budget. Because the American Kidney Fund is donor-funded, Trina makes sure every penny of her outreach budget is well spent. Branders' extensive selection includes nonwoven bags, lip balm, lunch bags, whistles and more—“practical” items that come at “affordable prices,” she says. “They allow us to reach more people, which helps us raise more awareness about kidney health.” |
